Piedmontese officer. At the time of Napoleon's 1796 campaign he was serving as a second lieutenant with Del Carretto's grenadier battalion, and was one of the defenders of Cosseria. He left a remarkable description of these events, which is the best account we have of what happened inside the castle. See Birago, C., Gen. La difesa di Cosseria, 1847.
