Salman Salim Khan, originally named Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, was born on December 27, 1965, in Indore. He is an Indian actor, film producer, and television personality mainly known for his work in Hindi cinema. Over his more than three-decade career, he has become one of the most successful and popular actors in Indian cinema. He has two National Film Awards as a producer and two Filmfare Awards as an actor, including Best Male Debut in 1990 and Best Supporting Actor in 1999.
Khan started his acting career with a supporting role in "Biwi Ho To Aisi" (1988). His big break came with a leading role in Sooraj Barjatya's romantic drama "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989), earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Throughout the 1990s, he built his name with hits like "Saajan" (1991), "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!"
