Troye Sivan, born on June 5, 1995, in Johannesburg, South Africa, is an Australian singer and actor known around the world. After moving to Australia, he attended Carmel School in Perth and began his career on YouTube, where his music gained a large following. His success in Australian talent shows led to a record deal with EMI Australia in 2013, starting his professional music path.
Sivan made his mark with the extended plays TRXYE (2014) and Wild (2015), becoming a rising pop star. TRXYE hit number 5 on the US Billboard 200, and his debut single "Happy Little Pill" reached the Top 10 in Australia. His first album, Blue Neighbourhood (2015), included the multi-platinum hit "Youth," which became his first Top 40 hit in the US, strengthening his international presence.
His later albums continued his success, with Bloom (2018) ranking high in Australia and the US. The lead single "My My My!" became his second number-one on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. His third album, Something to Give Each Other (2023), topped the ARIA Albums chart and brought singles "Rush" and "Got Me Started," earning him three Grammy nominations.
