Biography
Alfenus Varus was a Roman jurist, writer, and politician who lived in the first century BCE, a time of great upheaval. Born in Cremona around 100 BCE, he rose from the provinces to become one of Rome's most respected legal experts. His work covered various areas, marking him as both a lawyer and an author in the late Republican period.
Varus was mainly known for his legal expertise, becoming a key figure in Roman law at a time when the legal system was evolving.
