Biography
Daniel Francisco Chapo was born on January 6, 1977, in Inhaminga, a town in Sofala Province, Mozambique. He finished his secondary education at Samora Machel Secondary School. He then attended Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo, known as one of Mozambique's top institutions. Later, he continued his studies at the Catholic University of Mozambique, where he gained expertise in law and jurisprudence. This knowledge laid the groundwork for his career in the legal field and public service.
Before Fame
Growing up in Inhaminga during the last years of Mozambique's civil war, Chapo matured in a country going through significant change. The 1992 General Peace Agreement ended years of conflict and allowed a new generation of educated professionals to enter public life. Chapo studied law and worked as a radio journalist, building communication skills and gaining public visibility that would be valuable in politics. His early career spanned both law and media, which helped him build a wide public profile before formally entering governance.
