Isidoro Bianchi, often called da Campione, was born on July 20, 1581, in Campione d'Italia, Lombardy. He was a well-known Italian painter in the Baroque period. His nickname 'da Campione' comes from his birthplace, a small area famous for producing skilled artists and craftsmen during the Renaissance and Baroque times. Bianchi excelled in various skills, working as a draftsperson, engineer, painter, and plasterer, showcasing the versatile craftsman tradition of his home region.
