Jolin Tsai I-lin, born on September 15, 1980, in Xinzhuang District, Taiwan, is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress who has become one of the most influential figures in Chinese-speaking pop culture. Known as the "Queen of C-Pop," she has sold over 25 million records worldwide, making her the top-selling Taiwanese female artist since 2000. Her career spans decades, and she has consistently reinvented her musical style and visual presentation, leading the way in popularizing dance-pop music across Greater China.

Tsai's rise started in 1998 when she won a singing competition organized by MTV Mandarin, which led to her debut album "1019" in 1999 and established her as a teen idol.
