Lara Dutta Bhupathi was born on April 16, 1978, in Ghaziabad, India. She kicked off her career in beauty pageants, winning Miss Intercontinental in 1997 and later securing the Femina Miss India title in 2000. That same year, she gained international fame by winning Miss Universe 2000, becoming the second Indian woman to achieve this title.
