Shilpa Shetty Kundra, originally Ashwini Shetty, was born on June 8, 1975, in Mangaluru. She's an Indian actress, film producer, and businesswoman known mainly for her work in Hindi movies. She debuted in the thriller "Baazigar" in 1993, earning a nomination for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress. During the 1990s, she was featured in action films like "Main Khiladi Tu Anari" (1994) and "Jaanwar" (1999), establishing her presence in Bollywood. The romantic drama "Dhadkan" (2000) was a major career milestone, leading to notable roles in "Indian" (2001) and "Rishtey" (2002), with a second Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the latter. She showed her range by addressing social issues, notably in "Phir Milenge" (2004), where she played a woman with AIDS, receiving critical acclaim and a Filmfare Best Actress nomination.
