Her success boosted Belarus's tennis reputation and inspired younger players from the area. Before Fame

Before gaining international fame, Sasnovich grew up in Minsk when Belarus was building its sports identity after gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. The country's tennis facilities were improving during the 1990s and early 2000s, which allowed young athletes like Sasnovich to aim for professional careers.

Her rise began on the junior tennis circuit and ITF tournaments, where she sharpened her skills against players from around the world. The early 2010s were a time of growth for women's tennis globally, with more prize money and media coverage providing players from lesser-known tennis nations the chance to create lasting professional careers.
