Andreas Bødtker Christensen was born on April 10, 1996, in Lillerød, Denmark. He is a Danish center-back playing for Barcelona and the Danish national team. Christensen developed through Chelsea's youth academy to become one of Europe's top defenders. He started playing at local club Skjold Birkerød before moving to Brøndby, where international scouts noticed his talent.

In February 2012, at 15, Christensen joined Chelsea's academy. He quickly moved up through the youth teams and made his professional debut for the London club in October 2014.
