Biography
Mamnoon Hussain was born on December 23, 1940, in Agra, British India. After the 1947 partition of the subcontinent, his family moved to Pakistan, where he would go on to have a career as a businessman and public servant. He attended the Institute of Business Administration and the University of Karachi for his higher education, which influenced his knowledge of commerce and industry. Over the years, he became a well-known industrialist in Karachi's textile sector, earning respect in Pakistan's business community.

Before entering public life, Mamnoon Hussain had a successful career as an industrialist and businessman in Karachi, focusing mainly on the textile industry. His business skills and reputation in commercial circles led him to connect with the Pakistan Muslim League (N). He became a loyal member and supporter of Nawaz Sharif's political movement during the 1990s.
