Paul Wesley, born Paweł Tomasz Wasilewski on July 23, 1982, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is an American actor and film director of Polish descent. He grew up in New Jersey and went to Marlboro High School and Christian Brothers Academy before attending Rutgers University and Monmouth Academy. He took on the stage name Paul Wesley early in his career to make it easier to be recognized in the American entertainment industry.
