José Pedro Cea Urriza was born on September 1, 1900, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He became one of the most celebrated footballers of his generation. Playing as a striker, Cea was known for his technical skill and keen goal-scoring ability, making him a key player during Uruguay's golden era of football. He spent much of his club career with Club Nacional de Football, one of Uruguay's top teams, where he helped achieve domestic success and developed the skills that would later stand out internationally.
