Biography
Radhi Ben Abdelmajid Jaïdi was born on August 30, 1975, in Gabès, Tunisia. He grew into a strong centre-back and represented Tunisia internationally while pursuing a professional career that eventually led him to English football. Known for his physical strength and reliable defense, Jaïdi became one of the more notable Tunisian players in the English Football League during the 2000s.
Jaïdi played a large part of his career in England, especially with Bolton Wanderers, where he participated in domestic cups and European matches. He also played for Birmingham City and Southampton, staying in English football until he ended his playing days. Internationally, he was a regular for Tunisia, taking part in major tournaments, and became a recognizable figure in African and Arab football at the time.
After retiring, Jaïdi became a coach and worked at Southampton, leading the club's under-23 team. This role gave him the chance to build his coaching skills in a professional English academy. He later became the head coach of Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship, gaining experience in managing a senior team in American soccer.
