Both Barcelona and Juventus entered the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League final having already won their respective national league and cup titles, giving each side the chance to complete a continental treble. It was only the second time in the competition's history that both finalists entered with that possibility, the first being 2010.
Played on 6 June 2015 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, the final saw Barcelona score first through Ivan Rakitić after four minutes. Juventus equalised via Álvaro Morata ten minutes into the second half, but Luis Suárez restored Barcelona's lead in the 68th minute. Neymar sealed the result with the last kick of the match, giving Barcelona a 3–1 victory.
Barcelona's victory secured their fifth UEFA Champions League title and completed a second treble. Juventus suffered their sixth defeat in a European Cup final, a record shared with Bayern Munich and Benfica. Barcelona subsequently won the 2015 UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla 5–4 and beat River Plate in the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup final in Japan.
