Mercedes entered the 2015 season as defending Drivers' and Constructors' champions following a dominant 2014 campaign. Lewis Hamilton had secured his second title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and the team retained its driver pairing of Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, maintaining a significant technical advantage over rivals Ferrari and Williams.
Twenty-two drivers from ten teams contested 19 Grands Prix between 15 March in Australia and 29 November in Abu Dhabi. Hamilton clinched his third Drivers' Championship with three races remaining, finishing 59 points ahead of teammate Rosberg, with Sebastian Vettel third for Ferrari. Mercedes secured the Constructors' title at the Russian Grand Prix.
Mercedes ended the season with a record 703 constructors' points, ahead of Ferrari and Williams. Hamilton also won the FIA Pole Trophy and the DHL Fastest Lap Award, while Ferrari took the inaugural DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award. The season marked the debut of Max Verstappen, who would later become a World Champion.
