The 2013 UEFA Women's Championship was held in Sweden from 10 to 28 July 2013. Germany, the defending champions, faced Norway in the final and defeated them to claim their sixth consecutive and record-extending eighth overall Women's Euro title, in what became the most-watched edition of the tournament in its history.
Germany cemented their dominance as the most successful nation in Women's Euro history with eight titles. The 2013 edition was also the last to feature twelve teams, as UEFA expanded the finals to sixteen teams beginning with the 2017 tournament.
