Biography
Eiza González Reyna was born on January 30, 1990, in Mexico City, Mexico. She went to several well-known schools, like the American School Foundation of Mexico City, Edron Academy, and the Centro de Educación Artística de Televisa, which trains performers for the entertainment industry. She later improved her acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, which is famous for its method acting.
González started her entertainment career as a singer, releasing her debut album Contracorriente in 2009 when she was 19. Her acting breakthrough came with the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Sueña conmigo, which aired from 2010 to 2011 and made her a hit among Latin American youth. During this time, she kept up her music career, releasing her second album Te Acordarás de Mí in 2012. The telenovela Amores verdaderos further cemented her status in Mexican TV.
When she moved to American entertainment, González got a key role in the horror series From Dusk till Dawn: The Series, which aired from 2014 to 2016. This marked her start in English-language productions and showed her ability to work in different markets and languages. Her movie career picked up with Edgar Wright's action film Baby Driver in 2017, where she starred with well-known Hollywood actors.
González continued adding to her filmography with roles in major studio films like Alita: Battle Angel (2019), Bloodshot (2020), and Ambulance (2022).
