Madhuri Dixit Nene, born on 15 May 1967, is an Indian actress and television personality who became one of Bollywood's top stars in the late 1980s and 1990s. She grew up in Mumbai and attended Sathaye College before starting her acting career. She debuted in 1984 with the drama "Abodh" but initially faced several box office failures. Her big break came in 1988 with the action drama "Tezaab," which made her a key figure in Hindi cinema.
Dixit's career soared in the 1990s when she starred in some of Bollywood's biggest hits. Her roles in romantic films like "Dil" (1990), "Beta" (1992), "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!" (1994), and "Dil To Pagal Hai" (1997) earned her four Filmfare Awards for Best Actress, confirming her status as a leading actress of her generation.
