Osman Bölükbaşı (1911 – February 6, 2002) was a Turkish politician and political party leader from Kırşehir Province. He studied at Istanbul High School and later at Nancy-Université in France, where he gained the education and knowledge that influenced his public life. His long career made him a notable opposition figure in Turkish politics during the twentieth century.
Bölükbaşı became a leading voice of Turkish opposition politics, especially through his leadership of the Republican Nation Party, which he helped create in 1948 after leaving the Nation Party. His outspoken style and readiness to challenge the major political powers of his time made him well-known in Turkish parliamentary life. He served multiple terms in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing his native Kırşehir Province and consistently voicing the concerns of Anatolian communities.
His political career was notable for its independence from the larger parties dominating mid-twentieth century Turkey, namely the Republican People's Party and the Democrat Party. Bölükbaşı earned a reputation as a sharp debater and a critic of both left and right-wing governments.
