Biography
Alexander Philippe Albon Ansusinha was born on March 23, 1996, at the Portland Hospital in Westminster, London. He is a Thai-British racing driver who competes under the Thai flag in Formula One for Williams Racing. His father is English racing driver Nigel Albon, and his mother is Thai. Alexander grew up in Suffolk, England, and is also the nephew of racing driver Mark Albon. His diverse background has made him a notable figure in Thai motorsport, and he was the first Thai driver to secure a podium finish in Formula One.
Before Fame
Albon started his motorsport career in karting, showing exceptional talent early on. He was part of the Red Bull Junior Team from 2008 to 2012 and found significant success, winning the junior World Cup and the European Championship in 2010. After karting, he raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup for three seasons from 2012 to 2014, then joined the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2015. In 2016, he moved to the GP3 Series and finished second behind Charles Leclerc in his first season with ART Grand Prix. He then competed in FIA Formula 2 starting in 2017 and ended up third in the 2018 championship with DAMS.
