Eldor Azamat oʻgʻli Shomurodov was born on 29 June 1995 in Jarkurghon, Uzbekistan. He is a professional footballer who plays as a forward and has become one of the most successful players from Central Asia. Throughout his career, Shomurodov has played for clubs in Uzbekistan, Russia, Italy, and Turkey, gaining recognition both at home and abroad. He has received The Pride of Uzbekistan, a notable national award.

Shomurodov started his professional career in Uzbekistan with Mash'al Mubarek before moving to the well-known club Bunyodkor. His domestic performances caught international attention, leading to a move to Rostov in the Russian Premier League, where he spent three years honing his skills in a more competitive environment. His time in Russia was key in preparing him for European football.

In 2020, Shomurodov joined Genoa in Italy's Serie A for about €8 million.
