Ephraim Ben-Artzi (Hebrew: אפרים בן-ארצי) was an Israeli general and businessman born in 1910 in Slonim, a city that was then part of the Russian Empire and is now in Belarus. He lived through very eventful times in modern Jewish and Middle Eastern history, eventually becoming an important figure in Israel's military and business spheres before he passed away in 2001.
Ben-Artzi studied at Grenoble Alpes University in France, where he gained engineering skills that would shape both his military career and his later business ventures. His technical education set him apart and gave him the structured, analytical mindset needed in senior military roles. This mix of engineering knowledge and practical experience shaped who he became as an officer.
During his career, Ben-Artzi rose to the rank of general in the Israeli military.
