Before Fame
Born in 1957 in Việt Trì, Lương Cường grew up in a Vietnam influenced by war, rebuilding, and the establishment of socialist rule under the Communist Party. Those who came of age in the 1970s and 1980s in Vietnam were deeply impacted by the aftermath of the American War, the unification of the country in 1975, and the later conflicts with Cambodia and China that challenged the military and political systems of the newly unified state.
Lương Cường built his career within the Vietnam People's Army, where advancement required strong loyalty to the Communist Party and skills in military-political matters.
