In July 2018, the International Olympic Committee officially added a mixed team ski jumping event to the Olympic program, expanding the discipline from four to five events and maintaining the same total quota of 105 athletes as the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Ski jumping at the 2022 Winter Olympics took place at the Snow Ruyi hill in Zhangjiakou, China, from 5 to 14 February 2022. Five events were held: three for men, one for women, and one mixed team competition, drawing competitors from the 105-athlete quota distributed across the sport.
Canada won the bronze medal in the mixed team event on 7 February 2022, marking the first ski jumping Olympic medal in Canadian history. The inclusion of the mixed team event reflected broader IOC efforts to expand gender-inclusive disciplines within the Winter Olympics program.
