Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was born in 1956 in Kuwait City, Kuwait, into the ruling Al-Sabah family. He is the eldest son of Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who was Emir of Kuwait from 2020 until his death in December 2023. Growing up in this environment, Ahmad Nawaf had a background in Kuwaiti governance and military traditions, with a career spanning military service and high-level political roles.
