Andrés Iniesta Luján was born on May 11, 1984, in Escairon, a small town in Galicia, Spain. He is widely considered one of the best midfielders in football history, known for his superb balance, close ball control, agility, and calmness under pressure. Iniesta spent most of his professional career at FC Barcelona, becoming the most decorated Spanish footballer ever, with 35 trophies during his time at the club. He studied at Centre educatiu privat Jesuïtes Sarrià - Sant Ignasi, showing his long formative years in Catalonia after moving from his birthplace as a child to join Barcelona's famous youth academy, La Masia.
Iniesta debuted for Barcelona's first team at 18 in 2002 and became a regular from the 2004–05 season on.
