Throughout her career, she became one of the most successful sprinters in Olympic history, winning eight medals and establishing herself as a leading figure in women's sprinting for over a decade. Campbell-Brown gained international attention at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, where she won gold in the 200 meters at just 22 years old. She then repeated this success with another 200 meters gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, becoming the second woman ever to win consecutive Olympic titles in that event, after East Germany's Bärbel Wöckel. This achievement solidified her place among the top sprinters of her time. At the 2008 Games, she also took home a bronze medal in the 100 meters, showcasing her skill in both sprint events.

Outside of the Olympics, Campbell-Brown built an impressive record at the World Championships in Athletics.
