Biography
Ali Hidayat oghlu Asadov was born on 30 November 1956 in Baku, the capital of what was then the Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan. He attended Plekhanov Russian Economic University in Moscow, a well-known institution in the former Soviet area, where he studied economics and public administration, shaping his career path.
Asadov worked in Azerbaijan's government for many years, gaining experience in economic planning and ministerial roles. His career advanced as Azerbaijan transitioned from a Soviet republic to an independent nation in 1991, a time that required major changes in government and economic management.
He became Prime Minister of Azerbaijan on 8 October 2019, chosen by President Ilham Aliyev to lead the government. As Prime Minister, he oversees the Cabinet of Ministers, implementing state policies across ministries and agencies.
