Born in Zagreb, Mujdža became a dependable defender during his playing career, representing Croatia at youth level and Bosnia and Herzegovina at senior international level.

Mujdža started his professional career at Dinamo Zagreb before moving to German football in 2009, when he joined SC Freiburg. His time in the Bundesliga established him as a strong defensive player capable of competing in top European football. After seven years with Freiburg, he moved to 1. A major highlight of Mujdža's international career was in 2014, when he was part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina squad that qualified for their first FIFA World Cup. The tournament in Brazil was a historic achievement for Bosnian football, with Mujdža playing a key role in the team's defense during this significant campaign. After retiring from playing, Mujdža moved into coaching, eventually becoming an assistant manager at Gorica in the Croatian Football League.
